IMAGINE a State of the Sports Complex in Central Algiers that includes all Turf Baseball Fields and dedicated Soccer and Flag Football Fields, batting cages, practice fields and Concessions. and an all-purpose community building. In addition our academic center will allow for tutoring and academic help from certified teachers. Do our Children deserve anything less
We are organizing a group of Algiers residents intent on bringing back youth sports to our Community. Our DREAM is to reach out to our youth ages 5 thru 13 by providing opportunities in youth sports where they can enjoy sports activities while being mentored in not only sports but life skills. Our goal will be the total development of the child to enhance self confidence, social skills and academics. Our program, while initially focusing on athletic training will also address nutrition, mental health (conflict resolution), time management and academic excellence through our tutoring program. We are interested in the overall development of our children so that they can become successful adults and community leaders.
Our children deserve an opportunity to succeed and their development in these early years is critical. We will be partnering with all of the schools in Algiers to meet our goals. We believe that we can be a vital part of their development by mentoring and tutoring these young kids. Too many of our Children are living without any adult guidance. Our program can change that. With a first class facility we can begin to make a difference. We have designed a state of the art facility to help accomplish all of our goals
Our Baseball, Softball, Soccer and flag football programs will initially include developmental clinics conducted by High School coaches. Here the kids will be introduced to the sports and taught the fundaments of each sport. There will be no cost for participation in these clinics. Leagues in all sports will also be formed and we will be working closely with the schools to get information to the families. This will be a private facility with open access to all Algiers children.
Algiers Youth Sports Academy is a non-profit organization (501c) dedicated to mentoring to the Youth of Algiers. We are comprised of Algiers residents intent on fulfilling our purpose. We are seeking volunteers to be involved in working with our kids.
